Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The soul and spirit are different, but no surgeon can separate them….it takes an High Priest.
So many take instructions that please the soul, while the spirit grieves.
Important fact considering not one person (Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Samuel…..) was born again (spiritually new) in the Old Testament.
In context…..they needed rest too (Psalm 116:7-8).
And soon? All born again Christians (bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, Ephesians 5:30) will be gone up FROM Egypt to join Him. Then a different rest will be sought…..
