BREAKING: WATCHDOG UNCOVERS $7B IN UNTAPPED FEMA FUNDS DESPITE MAYORKAS CLAIMING NONE AVAILABLE
A DHS inspector general report found over $7 billion in unliquidated FEMA funds, contradicting Secretary Mayorkas' recent statement that FEMA lacked funds for future disasters.
The funds, earmarked for disasters from 2012 or earlier, could be returned to FEMA's Disaster Relief Fund, as Hurricane Milton approaches Florida.
Critics are questioning the administration's priorities amid mounting crises.

Lee Schaffler, chief portfolio officer for SPP, says the overall vision was to create a neighborhood designed with a high quality of life. “Water Street Tampa is built on the idea that the city of the future can be designed in a more comprehensive, cohesive, and people-centric way,” Schaffler claims. “Our goal was to bring together all the essential elements of a thriving community—from homes to offices to parks to retail—together in one place, connected by lively streetscapes and pedestrian-friendly walkways.”
The end result, Schaffler says, is to create a “15-minute city experience” that allows residents and visitors to be within a quick walk or drive from everything they need, and to be close to long-established neighborhoods nearby.

Randomly landed in this area where the fire station is gone, houses no longer line the creek, roads are completely gone, bridge is split in two, and active search and rescue were taking place. Told power would take 4-5 months.
We noticed no cell service so we were able to drop a starlink system to make sure they get connected.

A National Guard Chinook helicopter's low landing at a relief camp in Western North Carolina resulted in over $100,000 in damage, ripping apart tents, supplies, and vehicles, and sending three people to the hospital.
When confronted, the officer in charge gave a casual "oops" and no details, leaving only the helicopter's tail number.
