@Jklein - To me the critical part of this scripture is when Jesus tells His disciples to teach people to observe/obey ***all*** that He taught ===> Acts 3:22-23, “For Moses said, ‘The LORD your God will send you a prophet, just as he sent me, and he will be one of your own people. You are to obey ***everything*** that he tells you to do. 23 Anyone who does not obey that prophet shall be separated from God's people and destroyed.’ “ ======> This would include His teaching that we should have the same God that Jesus has as ***His God.***. (Please see John 20:17, Rev. 3:12, Eph 1:3, 1Pet. 1:3, etc.) =====> 1John 2:3-4, “We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.”
