Hyperion, which means "very tall" in Greek, grows in the United States in northern California.
The diameter of the mighty sequoia is more than 4.8 meters from the ground at the level of one and a half meters.
It is assumed that Hyperion is 700-800 years old.
And the oldest tree in the world was 4,484 years old when it was cut down in 1965. Sequoias, which were about 3,000 years old, were also cut down. It is believed that there are still 5,000-year-old trees on Earth.
