I sat, as did millions of other Americans, and watched as the government underwent a peaceful transition of power yesterday … At first, I felt a swell of pride and patriotism while Joe Biden took his Oath of Office.
However, all that pride quickly vanished as I later watched 21Marines, in full dress uniform with rifles, fire a 21-gun salute to the President. It was then that I realized how far America's military had deteriorated.
Every one of them missed the bastard.

Heads up in case you have decided to heed @HealthRanger's warnings to get out of Blue cities and states. Look for a city that still has its own power generation. That's becoming harder and harder to find...
I'm a Navy trained Nuclear Reactor Operator, civilian trained Journeyman Lineman, and city power generator operator. Previous employment includes Utility Superintendent and City Administrator.
No one listened when I said it was piss poor planning as town after town shut down their power-generating capabilities. They said it's too expensive.
Natural gas systems are strained because parts of the nationwide system are literally freezing. Our cities natural gas supply is operating at about 1/3 normal parameters...
So, it may be true that even if you had natural gas power generation, the gas supply wouldn't be enough. The last city's power plant I worked for had Deisel generators backing up the natural gas generators.
The city I was Utility Superintendent for was the first city with wind generators connected directly to their city system. After a few years, we did a study and they generated exactly the opposite of what was needed. They produced more at night than during the day when there was higher demand. They produced more in spring and fall which is seasonally the lowest demand months.
