Why are so many Venezuelans going to the USA?
Venezuela was the richest country in Latin America until in 2002 President Chavez kicked out the American Oil companies that were paying very little for the Oil. As a result, the USA in support of the Oil companies started lots of sanctions against Venezuela that even in this year, 2024 gave the excuse to the USA to steal two airplanes from Venezuela when they landed on other countries subservient to the USA.
In 2002 the USA stole Venezuelan bank accounts - the same as they did to Russia a few years ago - and used all means possible to destroy the Venezuelan Economy. So, the poverty in Venezuela, that is leading to many people leaving Venezuela now is the result of Venezuela expropriating the USA owned oil companies and that was their "crime". The only crime that Presidents Chavez and Maduro committed was to kick out of Venezuela the multinationals, mostly USA owned OIL companies that had been exploiting the Venezuelan people since the end of World War 2.
To understand better the situation, it is necessary to be aware that in the USA there is widespread belief that the USA has been given by ‘God’ the right to rule the world and in particular Latin-America and for that goal they have since 1903 been military, economically and politically interfering and removing democratically elected government that do not go along with the subservient attitude towards the USA. Starting with the invasion and secession of Panama that was part of Colombia in 1903 and killing and promoting violent government change like the killing of Allende, president of Chile and since the year 2000 trying to remove the presidents of Venezuela Chavez and Maduro.
The only crime that Chavez and Maduro committed was to kick out of Venezuela the mostly USA owned OIL companies that had been exploiting the Venezuelan people since the end of World War II.
