Please tell me I am not the only one that loves receiving and perusing Seed Catalogs, this time of the year.
Sitting across from the wood stove with a cheery fire crackling, a mug of tea in one hand and a highlighter in the other, I mark up the Seed Catalogs and make my wishlist. Baker Creek is one of my favorites, and Seeds for Generations, and a few other ones, checking out what's new for the year and imagining what new things I'll try in the garden next year.
This year a couple new things were the Amaranth and Quinoa. Yes, they do grow in Garden Zone 8. And they didn't really well. I didn't grow on a large scale, just a trial to see how they'd perform in our area. And they did so well, they're keepers.
