As you wrote Mike, the Gaza situation is spinning out of control bringing extremists out from many factions.I respect your desire to stop genocide but wonder if it is possible now with so much blood lust? In military history and the Bible there are examples of genocide, We Americans have conducted a few ourselves I'll sadly admit. My point? What is your solution now? The Egyptians refuse to take in the Palestinians via the Rafah Gate. So where do they go now that the IDF demands they move into southern Gaza by today? I pray you are not attacked but I fear the time for talking has ended. "Let's be careful out there"... Even in well armed Texas...:-)
Maybe Baldwin was doing a close up. In such scenes, the photographer is protected from any blank round discharge (wadding etc.) by a Perspex shield. BUT, some Hollywood sources now claim the round fired was a real cartridge and not a blank. The firearm was likely a .44 or .45 caliber revolver as this was a western. The round IMO would penetrate the Perspex shield, and could have struck the woman with a through and through that then also wounded the director in his clavicle. We shall see.

Mike, I pray you are correct and that your recent posts on this possibility are shown to be highly accurate. However, as you have mentioned in the past, it is wise to also hope for the best BUT prepare for the worst. And based heavily on your commentaries, that is what my wife and I continue to do daily so we have a better chance to get through the coming winter. Watch your six for IMO you remain a target. Agreed Mike... The whole post election crisis will likely end up with SCOTUS... And then? I still agree with you... be prepared to survive without external support through the coming winter, to include periodic "repel boarders" episodes of violence. I see no scenario that allows for a clear cut electoral decision nor a way to avoid the threat of widespread violence by those who will not accept that their candidate lost. Surveillance optics: I may have missed it but I don't remember many if any posts on the benefits of binoculars for the coming societal unrest. Optics tend to be like knives, folks tend to get argumentative about which is best for which situations. To maybe start a useful discussion for Mike, I'll recommend the Celestron Skymaster 8x56 as a useful design for day and even night surveillance of your area. Any comments on other possible options for keeping track of local activity in the coming days?
