The slower action and pace in Taiji martial arts is for health and strength. The faster action in some Taiji sessions and more in Kung Fu sessions is for coordination. For reduced space or confinement indoors, four sessions of Left and Right Sparrow from the Yang24 form etc in 4 directions has supported the health of many players. In fact, my Shifu recommended and taught Yang Sparrows Tail in Four Directions, which Shifu called "Prison Taiji."
